From Half-Done to Fully Protected: Completing a Radon Mitigation System with Sump Pump Upgrade
This home already had part of a radon system in place, a pipe routed above the sump basin; but it was never fully connected or functional. During our inspection, we found excellent drain tiling beneath the home, making it a perfect candidate for a single-point extraction system. We connected into the existing pipe, sealed floor cracks, and optimized the airflow for maximum radon reduction. Access through the garage made the installation smooth, but the project didn’t stop there. The homeowner also requested a new sump pump and an additional 20-foot discharge line, which we routed neatly alongside the dryer vent and other utilities.
Now, with a complete radon mitigation system and upgraded sump pump in place, this home has both cleaner indoor air and improved water management; two essential defenses for long-term safety and comfort.

Reliable Radon Installation Contractor
This family was hesitant to get a radon mitigation system installed as they lived a little far from Central Iowa. Then again, the team wanted to provide an extra mile this holiday season and took the booking. Everything was discussed and the proper set of expectation was provided. The client was happy on how the process was smoothly delivered from start to finish. They had radon levels around 9.0 pCi/L and now down to almost 90% -- 1.3 pCi/L!
Radon Mitigation - Rhodes, IA
This project is a single point system on front corner of the house with a second sump pit that needs to be covered in Plexi in the garage. The sump inside the house is tucked away in a piece of furniture that the client built. The exit point needs to be no higher than 30 inches and under the wood to the furnace to tuck it away from the wall. Can come out as close as possible to the soil line. Mainly, the client just wants it to be hidden inside as much as possible without having to rebuild anything int he future.

Why do you need a radon mitigation system at home?
This home is an old ranch farm house with radon levels of 12 in basement and 6 upstairs above the crawlspace. It also has a two-chamber basement with a large dirt crawlspace, and an old garage that is being renovated as an extended living room area. The client was a referral from a friend who had an installation with us and they were really happy so they spread the word! The client also added a Breathe EZ for extra protection along with a crawlspace encapsulation.
Radon Mitigation - Garner, IA
Iowa Radon Defense was a savior for this busy professional who had recently moved to Garner, Iowa. The client really liked the rapid response and efficient mitigation results the company promises which allowed them to focus on their career with one less worry in their life – high radon levels in their home. It was not a complicated installation as the system was meant to be placed in the utility room and connected with an exit point in the corner. The crawlspace was a decent size, so everything went well.
