What Does Radon Do?

Radon is actually a radioactive gas and in lengths of time could cause lung cancer if not mitigated. This was the client's first question when we met her online, she had her research but she believes to always leave it the experts. She had her home for a radon test and found out they had levels of 22! That's a big discovery for them as a family. Now, they decided to have it mitigated as soon as possible. It was a simple install where the system would run along in the garage and would exit at the back of the home. Everything went perfect!

The results showed high levels that came up to 10 pCi/L, this really caused significant concern. These clients just learned of their radon elevated levels of 11.8 in basement with two chambers, plus a concrete crawlspace that's 27'x40'. It's an old home with a narrow sump pit. The plan was to block the wall dividing basement and sub slab on either side of wall, core through block low, then go up and route between floor joists to enter crawlspace and have third extraction point. Exit crawlspace on far right back corner below office. Exit through rim joist and place fan on back side of house with fan cover. They added a Breathe EZ filter for extra protection.
