Radon Mitigation is a Work From Home Necessity

This client of ours recently started his own busines and will be working from home most days. He started with a simple test and returned with high levels. He is concerned about the the long-term effects of radon not just for himself  but also for his family. He will be placing the radon mitigation system in the basement and might create  his office setup from there. Everything was discussed on set about the installation process, he was happy with the result!

This home will have a 2-point system in the corner of the basement near the shower. There are two some bits. One is on the far side of the basement that needs to be sealed up with a dome cover and the second one is on the right hand side of the basement that needs to be sealed up with plexiglass. This is due to the fact that it is smaller. Homeowner is looking to finish the majority of his basement at some point in time so is looking for an attraction point to come out of the sump with the black cover and second extraction point in and around that corner area due to elevated right on levels. The homeowner is primarily worried about upcoming health concerns if he doesn't act on radon now.

Two-Point Radon Mitigation System for Renovated Garage Space

As the homeowner renovates their garage into a livable space, radon protection became a priority. Testing showed the need for a two-point extraction system, with one vertical extraction point near the breaker panel and a second horizontal point under the slab to the right. While there is no warranty due to an adjacent mudroom with a footer we can’t address (about 25’ x 8’), the system is designed to significantly reduce radon levels and maintain safer air quality throughout the home. By using proven radon remediation methods, we’re helping this family safeguard their new living space while balancing efficiency and practicality. They also used financing on this one which was a great option for budget options!

Will a Radon Mitigation System Appraise My Home's Value?

This client is preparing to sell their home, knew that high radon levels could attract potential buyers as per recent real estate articles. He knew he had radon but only made the decision today as it helps a property's image to be sold. He also had a home inspection, which advised the same thing. He requested a simple system since his home had an inaccessible crawlspace to begin with. The team installed the system on each side of the block wall in the basement, connected together to go out the patio. It has been proven that a radon mitigation system increases the home's value and attracting more offers.

This will be a 2-point system one of which is running from the sump in the utility room. A line that needs to be run to the other side of the utility room and through the joists on the right hand side. Rusty - Team Leader did let the homeowner know that worst case scenario we might need to cut through the drywall in order to fasten the pipe. The homeowner said that it would be fine as he had a drywall coming to finish part of his house in a few weeks. This client was really fun to work with, he was really flexible and understood what's best for his home even if it comes with additional extractions to install his system.
